Israel in the European Media

Interesting responses to the Israeli elections in some European newspapers - to say the least:

1. The Sunday Times from London publishes a Nazi style cartoon on Holocaust Memorial Day.

2. The German leftist newspaper die taz has a huge picture of Jair Lapid on the cover, calling him "Knesset Clooney" and writing "Israel sexy!".

3. The Berliner Zeitung published a column with the headline "Friedensmacht Israel" (Peace Power Israel). Very unusual.

Is there a shift in German media perceptions of Israel? Okay, it's only two examples, but still.

And WTF happened to the Sunday Times?
